Silent Echo is a great retelling of Greek mythology. It takes a past and makes it feel present. I liked the way the author weaved the Greek history into the story slowly then bringing it into the forefront so effortlessly. I loved the use of the original Greek gods and the fact that the author stuck close to the original story. I'm not very knowledgeable of Greek mythology outside of the most basic information but I liked it in this story. What I liked most was the characters, and the author's use of unconventional characteristics. I also loved the originality of it. There is a love triangle and I know how tireless they can be but the use of one in this story lacks the dramatics found in other books so it didn't take away from the story. The world building is also very well done and timed appropriately. I also love when the back story is fed in trickles as opposed to all at once, which this author does. I think readers will enjoy this uniquely told story and will appreciate the use of Greek mythology that is weaved throughout the novel. A great addition to any library.
