*Favorites of 2013*Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Review:
I loved this book. I don't know if it's because I'm biased towards Paris or because I'm a hopeless romantic who believes whole heartedely in love but, I just loved it. I know people have found issues with the drama and the back and forth between Anna and St. Clair but what's a good love story with turmoil both inner and external. They're teenagers, most things teens do are filled with drama and angst and that's what made it a good story. Their love is hard, slow developing but mostly romantic and sweet, in the most romantic place in the world. What's not to love?
I loved the characters and the way they all built off of each other and blended together. Each character had their own story but they still managed to relate to each other. I stayed up late and woke up early reading this book. I adored the world it was built around.
The writing is witty, and relatable. The writer writes in such a way that allows the reader to easily delve into the story without trouble. The book is great for readers of any age. Its a contemporary but easily timeless love story sure to melt your heart and bring a smile to your face, filled with teenaged angst, family drama, and romance. I enjoyed every page.

I didn't think it was possible but I may love this book more than I loved Anna and the French Kiss, its even more remarkably romantic than Anna. It has all the awkward moments and first kisses you'd expect in a great teenaged romance but it's so much more too.
The characters are so colorful and life like I felt as if I were spending time with each of them face to face. It was less like a story and more like an experience, a journey. I fell in love with the characters and I was so pleased to see Anna and St. Clair included in this book. I loved everything about this book. The costumes, the dog, the quirkiness of the characters, the back story, I loved it all.
The plot is well developed and the story telling is beautiful. Every word is perfectly descriptive. I loved it. I can't wait to purchase a copy of my own.
I've swooned and I can't get up!
