Quick Review+Rating
4 out of 5 stars~
This book picks right off where the carrier of the mark ends. Its substantially better than the first as we're taken further into the back story. It allowed me to better understand the characters and the story behind their powers. There was quite a bit more action and suspense in the second book. There were a lot of chapters that held unexpected surprises which made reading it more exciting. The characters had some juvenile moments but it was to be expected. The world building was also better than the first, you get more back story. I'm intrigued by the twist at the end. There is so much at stake. I'm excited to see where the author takes the story in the last book.
