It's my birthday. Yup, I'm a halloween baby :D I'm another year older and wiser! I'm hoping to spend this day doing something fun and just for me. Like maybe reading a book if someone gets one for me as a birthday gift ( Allegiant, Quarantine 2 *hint, hint*) (I AM ON HIATUS IF YOU WISH ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY I THANK YOU AHEAD OF TIME!)

Although it is my birthday I'm giving you guys things. Yes. You. I'm generous like that :P

I spent a month or so gathering up some authors and fun things to giveaway and I'm running the giveaway for a week only! So enter as many times as you like and in as many ways as you like. Review:

I was initially pleased with the beginning of the story. It was fast paced and I didn't have to sludge through a bunch of words to get to the actual happenings of the story. I knew almost immediately that the story would have religious undertones taking note of the biblical scriptures at the beginning. I'm not sure if the author was hinting at her depiction of the rapture or something totally different. Either way it works pretty well.

It was a pleasant read considering it's an end of times story. The characters mesh well and are 

After finishing the book thought I didn't feel like it was completed. The epilogue left a lot to be desired. I'm not sure if there is going to be a second book or not but it wasn't much of a cliffhanger if so. 

 The book was written fairly well with descriptive scenes that will entice most readers. I think it will appeal to readers who enjoy apocalyptic, or zombie reads.

My Waiting on Wednesday is The Eye of Minds by James Dashner.

I have to tell you I didn't even look at the blurb before I added this to my Goodreads. I saw James Dashner had a new book and I hit add quickly. Some authors are just like that for me. I don't care if they wrote a book about knitting I'd buy it. Dashner is one of those authors.

Young Adult Series I Wish More People Read

I've read some really good YA series in the last couple of years and there are quite a few I wish more people read or knew about. Here are a few:

This is a good series with an intriguing plot. 

There are some tear jerker moments. At least there were for me.

I love this series! I'm dying to get the second book which came out in July or August sometime.

I'm hoping to get it for a birthday present? Maybe?

I really like this series. I like stories with strong female characters.

I have a serious crush on the guys in here. This is a great series!

My Favorite Blogger (I LOVE YOU ALL) is Pam from YA Escape From Reality. The reason why I really enjoy Pam's blog (She runs it with another person) and why I like her as a person is because she's consistent and solid. She's always commenting on my posts and we all know how rare that can be. Even as a beginner I noticed how little people actually comment even if the blog has well over 1000 followers. So, to have someone who obviously frequents on a regular basis and actually read and comments on the content. I appreciate that the most. 

As far as her blog is concerned I like it because it doesn't focus solely on memes, or book reviews. It has interesting discussions that allow readers to voice their opinions on stuff other than their favorite book or fictional boyfriend. That's not a regular thing I've seen so I really like that. 

She just rocks so go ahead and check out her and Sheri's blog, say hello, comment! Share the love!

I know that this series has gone on far longer than it should have and the love triangle scenario is well past overused but I'm in already. I just can't quit! I'm dedicated. I just wish she'd give me more of Lizzy and Diesel.

I've never read a book quite like this before and it kind of threw me at first. When I seen octopus I'm like WHOA! Hold on there but strangely it works. You'll be intrigued by the dynamic between the races. 

The book was written pretty well. The main characters Ari and Teegan develop an otherworldly type of relationship that at first may seem strange but is romantic and maintains it's steam throughout the book and only gets more intense as the story goes on. 

I liked the cast of characters. They made the story easier to understand and more fun to read. I also liked that none of the female characters were weak and held their own. No damsel in distresses here!

My only issue was I was a little thrown off by the constant swearing but luckily it didn't take away from the story too much. Otherwise I think readers will enjoy this interesting and intriguing cast of characters and the love that blooms as a result of some unusual happenings.

My TBR pile (Hardcopy edition)

I seriously have a problem. It's called I have way too many books on my to be read pile and I can't stop adding more to the list syndrome. I have been harboring piles of books for a while. Most of which I haven't read and have probably had them a year or more. I thought I might share with you all some of the books on my TBR pile that I have hardcopies of. (I will also do an eBook edition. Yes. I have a big pile of those too.) I TOLD YOU I HAVE A PROBLEM! No I don't want help. :P

I keep saying I'm going to get to this pile first because I've had some of these books the longest but yeah that didn't happen.

The same with these. Some of them I've started and never finished. I'm a bad book worm/lion.

I'm really excited about this last pile. I want to get to these sooner than later. Some of these I only got weeks ago on Amazon! I got 5 books for 25 dollars. Thanks Anne for the gift card!

> 1. When did you start blogging and why? Tell me briefly about what you do on your blog?

Being a primary school teacher, I am sure many of you will be very jealous to hear that I recently had six weeks holiday from work. Six weeks is a long time and, like many others out there, I read a LOT of books. Sitting at home one afternoon I decided I wanted to share some of the amazing books I had read with others. I would always be texting family and friends recommending books and it suddenly dawned on me that it might be more beneficial to start a blog. I had no idea what I was doing and did a lot of research into blogging and reaching an audience through social media (thank you Google). Many of the other book blogs I had seen focused mainly on one genre, however I wanted mine to cover all the different genres I enjoy reading. Therefore, Love Books Read Daily was born! It has been extremely enjoyable reading, reviewing and blogging over the summer. Unfortunately my holidays have now come to an end but my new plan of action is to ask the children in my class to help me review some upcoming children's books. Harper Collins have very kindly sent me a selection of new titles which I will be reading and reviewing with my class of 30 angels very soon!

> 2. The best thing that has happened to you since you started blogging because of your blog?

I will be very honest here and say one of the best things about blogging is receiving free books from publishers and authors before their release date. I love being contacted by unknown authors and discovering new talents that would otherwise go unnoticed. Sharon Sant contacted me recently, through Twitter, asking me to review her new novel, The Memory Game, and it honestly was one of the best books I have read in a long time.
I love that other people I know have gone off to purchase books based on my reviews. The book blog world is so influential and I am honoured to be a part of it.

> 3. Favorite fictional couple and why?

My favourite fictional couple would have to be Layken and Will from 'Slammed' by Colleen Hoover. After the death of her father, Layken, along with her mother and brother, move to a new town where she meets her new neighbour, Will. They quickly become more than friends and a whirlwind romance ensues. That is until they discover some shocking news that will tear them apart and the story becomes one of love, loss and turmoil. The relationship between Layken and Will is heart shattering and Colleen Hoover takes the reader on an emotional roller coaster throughout. If you haven't read this story READ IT!! You won't be disappointed.

> 4. Last three books you've read.

The Memory Game by Sharon Sant.

> 5. Least favorite food

I like most foods but there are some that just completely freak me out. Prawns being one of them! I am not comfortable eating anything that still looks the same as when it was alive. Prawns sit on your plate with their little beady eyes... they just terrify me! And don't even get me started on KING prawns.
I also hate the thought of pineapple on pizza. Why would you put fruit on a pizza?! Would you put strawberries on your roast dinner? No, probably not! The idea just baffles me. Highly annoying when you have to sit there picking all the pineapple off. *Sigh*

> 6. Favorite genre and why?

This is a tough one for me as my book blog is very eclectic. I like many different genres and the different elements they bring to a novel. If I had to choose one it would be a toss up between crime thrillers and Dystopian YA. I think the dystopian genre just tips it and my obsession for such like started at school where I was asked to study 'The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood for my English Literature course. I was fascinated by the thought of a world so different but not so far removed from our own. It was disturbing to read of a nightmare future that could so easily happen.
